Collaborate for iOS: status and notifications
On iOS, what do I receive notifications for and how?
Collaborate for iOS notifies you of one-to-one chat messages and of group chats where someone mentions you using the @ symbol.
When you enable notifications in the mobile app settings, the mobile device gives notifications based on the device settings.
See Settings > Notifications > Collaborate on your iOS device. The Genesys Cloud mobile app supports Show in Notification Center, Sounds, Show on Lock Screen, and badging, including badge count, on the app icon.
To receive notifications from Communicate, regardless of your presence and status on other clients, follow these steps:
- Tap More .
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Chat.
- Set Notify me on mobile to Always.
How does status sync between the mobile app and the desktop or browser apps?
When you change your status in any app, the change synchronizes with all other apps.
How do notifications sync between the mobile apps and the desktop or browser apps?
Unless your mobile device is open, you do not receive notification on your mobile device when your desktop browser app presence is Online or Busy.
When your desktop or browser app presence is Away or Offline, you receive notifications on your mobile device, even if the mobile app is not open. To stop receiving notifications on your mobile device, log out of the mobile app.
Can I mute chat notifications in Collaborate for iOS and Android?
You can mute Collaborate chats in any of these ways:
- On the chat you want to mute, swipe left and tap Mute.
- In the People or Groups tab, hard press a chat room and then tap Mute.
- Inside a chat room, tap Settings and enable or disable Mute.
