Why did AI Scoring select the Default Answer or return an error even though the transcript contains the evidence needed to answer the question?

AI Scoring performs an exact text match between the model’s response and the answer options configured in the evaluation form. If accents or special characters are used inconsistently across the question, help text, and answer options—for example, “Sí” in one place and “Si” in another—the system may not recognize a valid match.

When this occurs, AI Scoring may select the Default Answer or return a low-confidence error, even when the transcript contains the evidence needed to answer the question.

To avoid this issue, use accents and special characters consistently throughout the evaluation form.
