In a future release, Genesys Cloud will enable business administrators to view external event schemas and event configurations in the Admin UI. This first phase provides visibility into external events and schemas created through the External Event Ingestion API, making it easier for both technical and non-technical users to understand what has already been configured and what is ready for use across Genesys Cloud.
What’s changing
Business administrators can:
- View external event configurations created through the External Event Ingestion API.
- View external event schemas and their associated details.
- See which schemas are associated with event configurations.
- Review onboarding information in a centralized Admin UI instead of relying on API workflows.
This initial release provides view-only access. Support for creating, editing, and deleting external event schemas and configurations is planned for a future release.
Benefits
This update helps organizations:
- Increase visibility into onboarded external events and schemas.
- Simplify the onboarding of external event data from third-party and custom applications.
- Allow business administrators to review event configurations without requiring direct API access.
- Improve collaboration between business administrators and developers by providing a shared view of configured events and schemas.
Action required
No action is required.
If your organization uses the External Event Ingestion API, business administrators can use the new Admin UI to review existing external event schemas and event configurations.
