In a future release, administrators can use attribute-based access control (ABAC) policies to restrict access to Genesys Cloud based on environmental attributes such as IP address and time of day.
What changed
Administrators will be able to define ABAC policies that allow or deny access based on policy conditions. Genesys Cloud will also add a separate Global Policies tab in the policy management experience to make these policies easier to manage.
Why this is useful
This change gives administrators a more flexible way to control access and reduce security risks such as toll fraud and malicious logins. It supports use cases that need more than a single organization-wide IP restriction and makes it easier to apply access rules based on different environmental conditions.
