In a future release, Genesys Cloud will enable administrators to change the owner of one or more dashboards. This feature helps organizations maintain access to shared dashboards when the original owner is unavailable or leaves the organization, reducing the need to recreate dashboards or interrupt reporting workflows.
What’s changing
Administrators with the appropriate permission can:
- Reassign dashboard ownership from the Dashboard Owners tab.
- Change the owner of multiple dashboards in a single operation.
- Select a new owner from eligible users within their permitted divisions.
- Receive confirmation when the ownership change is successful.
- Notify both the original owner and the new owner by email when dashboard ownership changes successfully.
If the selected user has reached the maximum dashboard ownership limit, the ownership change fails.
Benefits
This feature helps organizations:
- Maintain access to dashboards when ownership needs to change.
- Simplify dashboard administration by allowing bulk ownership changes.
- Reduce disruption when dashboard owners are unavailable or no longer part of the organization.
- Keep dashboard owners informed through automatic email notifications.
Action required
Administrators who want to reassign dashboard ownership must have the analytics > dashboardConfigurations > reassignOwnership permission.
No additional configuration is required.
