In a future release, Genesys Cloud will make the campaign scheduler division-aware, allowing organizations to manage campaign schedule access based on divisions. Until now, all campaign schedules in Genesys Cloud have been shared across an entire organization.

With the upcoming update, campaign schedules will be associated with specific divisions. Only users with permissions for a specified division can view or manage that division’s schedules. This change aligns the campaign scheduler with other division-aware tools in Genesys Cloud, reduces the chance of cross-division interference, and makes it easier for admins to troubleshoot and support specific business units.

What’s changing?

  • Campaign schedules will support division-based access control.
  • Twelve new permissions are being introduced to enable this feature. These mirror the existing permissions but add division-awareness.
  • Both the old and new permissions will be available during a transition period to avoid disruption and give administrators time to adjust roles.

Why does it matter?

This update introduces a clearer separation of responsibilities and safeguards access to campaign schedules. With division-aware permissions, users will only interact with the schedules they are responsible for, simplifying campaign management in complex environments.

What do you need to do?

No immediate action is necessary when the permissions become active, but Genesys recommends that you begin to prepare.
  1. Review current role configurations and identify users with campaign schedule access.
  2. Evaluate whether switching to the new division-aware permissions would affect access, especially for users with multiple roles.
  3. Plan role updates accordingly to maintain the right level of access while adopting the new model.
Genesys Cloud will provide guidance to help with the transition and ensure a smooth migration to the new permission structure.
