Genesys CloudMedia Tier release notes

View a summary of the improvements and fixes in the latest update to cloud media control services for BYOC Cloud and Genesys Cloud Voice, and to hardware devices for BYOC Premises.

Note: Due to urgent fixes for security and stability, Genesys may push Edge updates and release Media Tier versions before a release note publishes.

Enhancements and fixes

  • Improved Polish-language call progress detection for additional carriers in Poland.
  • Improved Spanish (Mexico) classification of Apple call-screening greetings.
  • Improved Edge response times for SIP OPTIONS requests from session border controllers.
  • Improved P-Asserted-Identity handling in SIP UPDATE messages when a station cannot be resolved to a user.
  • Improved audio and recording reliability during consult and barge-in transfers, retried bridge transfers, and video recording teardown.
  • Added safeguards for high memory utilization and improved Edge stability during media connection failures.
  • Strengthened security through improved AES-256 GCM handling and consistent phone trunk access-control enforcement.
  • Cloud update availability

Updates for cloud media services occur between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM in every time zone, starting September 10, 2026.

Premises update availability

Updates for hardware devices are available on September 2, 2026. Administrators can choose to set a specific update schedule or perform a manual update.

  • Available for manual update in all regions starting September 2, 2026.
  • Auto-update enabled for all regions starting September 9, 2026.
  • Automatic updates roll out to customers over a 10-day period during their organization’s defined maintenance window.
