Minimum staffing configuration

Use the Minimum Staffing Configuration dialog box to set a default minimum staffing level. You can apply this level to all time periods or only to periods with a forecasted staffing requirement. You can also apply it to all planning groups or to specific planning groups and days of the week. The Minimum Staffing Configuration dialog box includes two tabs that allow you to define the staffing levels. When you generate or reschedule a schedule, the Workforce Management (WFM) applies the settings in the Configure Minimum Staffing configuration and updates the staffing requirement used in the schedule generation or reschedule process accordingly. For more information about generating schedules and rescheduling, see and .

NoteIf you generate schedules using Minimum Coverage, shifts from the immediately preceding schedule can satisfy minimum staffing requirements at the beginning of a schedule. For example, if you set a minimum staffing level of two agents for a planning group and then generate a schedule, the Scheduled metric in the schedule editor may show only one agent scheduled at midnight on the first day. In this case, review the previously published schedule to see overlapping shifts that provide additional coverage. For example, a shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on the last day of the previous schedule covers the first six hours of the new schedule.
