In a future release, Genesys Cloud will update the call indicator in the top navigation bar to more clearly communicate WebRTC connection health. The updated indicator replaces the current rotating animation with clearer, state-based visuals that show the user’s telephony connection status.
This change helps users quickly determine whether they are ready to make or receive calls and makes it easier to recognize connection issues.
The redesigned indicator aligns with the navigation top bar design.
Key improvements include:
- Clear connection status visibility – The indicator visually distinguishes between connected and disconnected WebRTC states so users can quickly understand connection health.
- Reduced visual noise – The previous always-on animation is replaced with subtle, state-based visuals that highlight meaningful changes without distracting users.
- Consistent navigation design – The updated styling aligns with the Genesys Cloud navigation bar design system for a more cohesive experience.
